Albaugh is a primary manufacturer of crop protection, seed treatment, turf and ornamental, and industrial solutions, not a reseller or broker. The company owns and operates an integrated network of global production facilities to synthesize, formulate, and package its products.
Albaugh’s domestic manufacturing production is anchored at its state-of-the-art facility in St. Joseph, Missouri. Situated in the heart of the Midwest, this strategic location offers distinct logistical and distribution benefits, enabling efficient distribution and reliable supply to customers across the United States.
Beyond the United States, Albaugh maintains an extensive international manufacturing infrastructure to support customers worldwide. Production sites serve North America, Latin America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific regions. This global footprint allows Albaugh to maintain consistent quality standards, optimize production efficiency, and deliver cost-competitive post-patent crop protection solutions worldwide. -
Before any Albaugh product can be commercialized, it must undergo the same rigorous, science-based evaluation process required by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and meet all federal standards under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) as brand-name products. This includes product registration and approvals, safety and efficacy testing, and strict adherence to ongoing federal compliance and enforcement standards.

Albaugh products are designed to deliver equivalent field performance, efficacy, and reliability as leading name-brand crop protection products. Albaugh formulations utilize the same field-tested active ingredients and are engineered to work in the same way in the field to deliver reliable insect, weed, and disease control. Albaugh solutions are designed to fit into existing programs, tank mixes, and agronomic recommendations. The key difference is Albaugh’s focus on efficiency and cost control, helping growers reduce input costs without sacrificing performance.

Yes, many Albaugh products are post-patent (commonly referred to as generic) alternatives to brand name crop protection products. This means they contain established active ingredients that have been field-tested and proven effective but are no longer under patent protection, offering distinct advantages for growers, including proven efficacy, cost-effectiveness, and return on investment.
The Albaugh Innovation Platform enhances post-patent chemistries to deliver added value to the market by applying advanced delivery systems, improved adjuvants, and proprietary pre-mixes that enhance the effectiveness of the product or allow compatibility with specific crops, like herbicide-tolerant varieties. -
