ANKENY, Iowa, Nov. 3, 2026 — Albaugh, LLC has announced the addition of Spur® Max herbicide and Pavise® Pro fungicide to its Canadian portfolio, expanding the company’s crop protection offerings for the 2027 crop year.
Spur® Max herbicide is a new registration from the Health Canada Pesticides Regulatory Directorate (PRD). Designed for cereals and flax, Spur® Max utilizes the active ingredient clopyralid to deliver control or suppression of key broadleaf weeds, including Canada thistle, wild mustard, ragweed, and volunteer canola. The product features a concentrated formulation that helps reduce packaging and storage requirements.
Pavise® Pro is a new co-pack that combines Pavise® 480 and Raclos® fungicides. With a wide application window from herbicide timing through the flag leaf and flowering stages, Pavise® Pro provides broad-spectrum control of key diseases such as Ascochyta and white and grey mold across a range of crops, including wheat, lentils and chickpeas. It also delivers a full-season solution for blackleg and Sclerotinia management in canola. The co-pack offers the flexibility to be applied as a complete solution or as individual products, allowing growers to tailor disease management programs to their specific needs.
"The additions of Spur® Max and Pavise® Pro further strengthen Albaugh’s commitment to delivering practical, high-value solutions for Canadian growers”, said Nathan Hnatuik, Director of Sales – Albaugh Canada. “Spur® Max provides the same trusted broadleaf weed control as Spur® M in a 1.6x concentrated formulation, helping reduce packaging and storage demands while adding convenience for retailers and growers. Pavise® Pro complements our fungicide offering with a broad-spectrum solution that gives growers greater flexibility in how and when they protect their crops.
